Basics and Conditioning

Basics: Flexibility (Stretching), Ti Tui (Kick Training), Zhan Zhuang (Training of the Stances), Stamina, Power, Endurance, etc.

Forms:

Wu Bu Quan, Tan Tui

The basic forms in this level of the disciples training are Chang Quan (Longfist) forms. They are not considered Tanglang forms per se. It is recommended that knowledge and experience of the movements and power vectors of Chang Quan serve as a fundament to the later following Tanglang movements. It is very important that the disciple first learns how to engage in combat, how to extend when he attacks, before he learns how to ”shrink” (see 5 Principles).
